What to Expect
We’re a small church that feels like family, and we’d love for you to be part of it. Here’s what to know before your first Sunday with us.
Sunday Worship
Our 8:00 a.m. service is traditional, with hymns and liturgy. Our 10:00 a.m. service is contemporary, with a band and newer worship music. Both services share the same Bible-based message, and the atmosphere is casual, so come as you are.
Parking
Our lot fills up, so plan to arrive a few minutes early. Look for the signs in front of our parking spaces, or park along the side of the building near the end of the cul-de-sac or on the street. When you’re facing our building from the parking lot, our neighboring church is on the right, so please avoid parking on that side.
Your Kids
Children are always welcome in worship. At the 10:00 a.m. service, the pastor shares a special children’s message just for them. Afterward, little ones can join Children’s Church to learn Bible stories and spend time with other kids during the main message.
Communion
We celebrate communion every Sunday, and visitors are welcome to join us at the Lord’s Table. As a Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod congregation, we believe Jesus Christ is truly present in the Lord’s Supper, and that His true body and blood are given to us with the bread and wine. Because this gift is so precious, we ask that everyone who receives communion can affirm these four things:
You are a baptized Christian.
You believe you are a sinner in need of Christ’s redeeming grace.
You believe Jesus’ body and blood are truly present with the bread and wine.
You desire to live the life Jesus calls you to live.
This follows the Apostle Paul’s encouragement in 1 Corinthians 11:27–29 to examine ourselves before receiving the Lord’s Supper. If you have questions or aren’t sure, the pastor would love to talk with you before the service.
You Belong Here
At Promise, you’ll find a welcoming, Bible-teaching church where you can grow surrounded by people who know you by name. We’ll see you Sunday!
